                          PROJECT EXPERIENCE

As part of the 1996 Measure B Highway Projects, this project completed the existing 85/87 interchange in San Jose by adding two connector ramps, from southbound Route 85 to northbound Route 87 and to northbound Route 85.  In addition, construction in the median of Route 87 between Route 85 and Braham Lane will widen the paved area to accommodate future HOV (carpool) lanes.

Summit provided constructability review services for this $75M interchange project for the Valley Transportation Authority (VTA).  Review disciplines included: roadways, construction staging, traffic handling, landscape, irrigation, permitting, disputes review board, and an owner controlled insurance program (OCIP).
